The program is now almost set!
We are proud to inform you that the interest has been great to present at the 3rd International Bowen Conference in Sörbyn, Swedish Lapland. It has been a pleasant and difficult decision to choose among the many themes we have received.
Close to thirty persons, presenters, researchers and authors will share their experiences and knowledge from their respective areas and applications of Bowen Theory. This will be presented in two parallel sets of presentations, which will give you the opportunity to choose the one you find best for you and your own specialization.
All presentations have a basis in the Bowen Theory on emotional systems and how it effects individuals, families, organizations and leadership. We will be able to learn about the different concepts of the theory and how these have developed and how this process continues today.

In the program you will find the presentations of the presenters and short summaries of their presentations. There might be additions, or minor changes before the program is finalized before the conference.
Also, take a peak at the activities which are being available before, during and after conference. Do not miss your chance to take some time to explore life and scenery north of the Arctic Circle. Nature is wild and beautiful and a trip by train from Sörby to Kiruna only takes four hours.
Don't Miss out! On November 1st 2019 the booking of the conference will start for the early birds. Very welcome to the 3rd International Bowen Conference!
Facts:
The Bowen Theory is developed by Dr. Murray Bowen, an American psychiatrist and a professor in psychiatry at Georgetown University. The Systems Theory is developed through practical work with clients during several decades. Dr. Bowen analyzed families, congregations, organizations and societies as emotional units. Instead of the individual perspective, focus was set on how relations are built and changed depending on context and various levels of anxiety. Dr. Bowen begun his research during the 1940’s at the Menninger Clinic, Later he continued at the Georgetown University, Washington DC, USA, where he also founded the Bowen Center for the Study of the Family.
